Come aggiornare?
Se avete già installato Ubuntu 16.04.1 per aggiornare vi basterà dare
sudo apt update && sudo apt dist-upgrade
Questo aggiornerà il sistema lasciando però inalterato lo stack e il Kernel (su Ubuntu 16.04.1 LTS trovate il Kernel 4.4.x).
Sapete cosa si dice nel mondo Linux, se funziona non aggiornare. Se volete però farlo vi basterà dare il comando
sudo apt install –install-recommends xserver-xorg-hwe-16.04
