Calligra 2.6 Beta Rilasciato
Il team di Calligra ha da poche ore rilasciato Calligra 2.6 Beta. Calligra 2.6 arriva dunque ad una buona fase dallo sviluppo ed approda nel canale beta, segno che il programma è quasi maturo per l’uso di tutti i giorni.
Calligra 2.6 Beta contiene numerose nuove funzionalità rispetto alle versione Alpha. Ma vediamo le più importanti:
- Plan, the project management application, has
updated scheduling information, improved scheduling granularity,
improved performance charts, improved project creation, improved
usability in the report generator and many bug fixes.
- In Kexi, the visual database creator, overwriting objects with the same name is now possible. See community.kde.org for complete list of changes.
- There are two general improvements in handling of
the Open Document format: Calligra will now load and save 3D shapes and
annotations. This means better interoperability with other office
applications.
- Finally Calligra Active, the tablet version of
Calligra, has new preview for text documents, a new text search feature
for all 3 document formats, support for translations, a simplified UI
and a few bugfixes.
Come potete dunque leggere una delle più importanti funzionalità introdotte risiede nella gestione del formato Open Document: adesso Calligra può caricare e salvare le forme 3D e le annotazioni, questo significa una maggiore interoperabilità con altre suite da ufficio.
L’altra grande novità riguarda Calligra Active, la versione per tablet di Calligra. Calligra Active ha ora una nuova funzionalità per l’anteprima del testo e una nuova funzionalità di ricerca nel testo per tutti e tre i tipi di documento, nuove traduzioni, una UI migliorata e semplificata e naturalmente alcuni bug fixati.
